I am Paper
I am paper
I come in plenty of colors, different thicknesses and widths
To you I am plain, worthless, and can easily be replaced.
With just one mistake I am thrown away
Into a trash can with your flavorless gum and used tissues
You puncture me, cut me apart, and crumple me when you’re angry
Or turn me into some odd pose
For someone who has been around longer than most people on earth,
I speak for us papers everywhere
We wish to be used wisely
