Shadows
You appear in the light, but hide in the dark.
The mysterious two-dimensional silhouette that moves, but remains quiet.
The one that sees my pain but won't help.
I look at the night in every star your reflection, but you're not there.
Shadows deep and dark as shame.
Follows my every move everyday.
Dominating my loneliness at its pace.
So cold in the shade my phantom remains.
Imitating my life in the parallel universe.
Secretly stabbing my spirit and soul.
Taking my life of who once belonged.
Falling apart as the sky cries over me.
Dying in the darkness my shadow fades.
Seems just like a simple image, but that insignificant reflection can be your biggest nightmare.
