The Past is Gone
Do not stay in the past and cry
It is not there. You’ve kissed it goodbye.
The future winds are the ones that blow
The future will fall tomorrow with the snow
The future does not care about the past
For every action does not last
Because the past is forgotten, washed away
While your dreams remain at bay
Take them from the past and leave
Do not dwell do not grieve
For the past is wiped away; gone
It does not matter. Move on.
Ghosts can’t push you forward
They will push you shoreward
to crash against the jagged rocks
Follow the seagull flocks
To the deep blue sea
where the depths are filled with uncertainty
But it’s the future
it’s supposed to be like that
