I’m near the light and there you are.
You trail behind, but never far.
I lift my arm and so do you.
We’re in sync, the perfect two.
I take three steps and you are close.
You’re always here, I suppose.
Then darkness falls and you are gone.
I’m here alone, myself to depend on.
