The feeling couldn’t be bothered to stay
The one where ‘i love you’ was the only thing
We weren’t afraid to say
Still dangling upon my necklace is your class ring
It’s a false promise that things will get better between us
Maybe this won’t be just another ending
Trying to cover up the fact we’ve lost our trust
In each other
