Dorthy didn't have to

Dorothy took the paved road,
that was yellow, not the red.
But sometimes I wonder,
where the other would have led.
Maybe instead of Oz
there was just a guy named Ted.
Or instead of leaving,
she would have stayed instead.
What if the evil witch
had never even said,
“Give me those shoes girl,
while you still have your head!”
What if the witch under the house,
Wasn’t even dead?
Will all the different possibilities
This story could have led,
Can you imagine the different ways,
It would have and to end?
