Within the smiles within the laughs there's something past all that;
the fear and the sleepless nights the stress and the bloodshot eyes;
she holds herself to a higher point to lock her soul away to hide her face in the day but as she lays in bed her soul breaks out and her mind roams about;
she's strong enough to hold it back but when she's alone she's lost in her soul
with the hardships and terror she she's sceard herself from the world to fake her smiles and fake her laughs to keep every one out;
but she's told me her past and I know she fakes her laughs she been through it all yet she won't let herself fall through the tears and scornfull foughts she's killed the thoughts of an open mind and traded them all for something to hide;
her mind reels a strange new path she's slipping deeper and deeper and forgetting her past she's changing her eyes and losing the fight to turn around and pass through the light;
we can't tell what she's thinking now when things go hard she travels the sound to find a new and find the future feels a depth and kills the mude;
As the old maid grows weak her heart slowly beats until the time she won her fight and slipped threw the holy light;
with her new full health and happy ways she's walking the road of endless days.
