Sister
She was my best friend, my sister
We froze with wonder beneath the first snow
Together, but she now resides in heaven
Her new house
While my heart is without love
This is no longer my world
I miss my old world
My life with my sister
She taught me to love
How to drive through the snow
Until I reach the house
Where she now resides in heaven
I wish I could fly up to heaven
Make it my new world
The place I call my house
Reunited with my sister
We could watch from above as the snow
Falls. I would be filled with love
My heart aches without love
For my love has been lost in heaven
I am reminded of her when I see the snow
It delicately lands on the world
I know my sister
Is watching down on me inside my house
We grew up in this house
I learned what love
was from my sister
Now I look to heaven
To find love in this world
Or I look to the snow
The white, powdery snow
As it falls on my house
My new world
Perhaps it is filled with love
Although I’m not in heaven
I still feel like she is here, my best friend, my sister
On sad days I look to the snow to remind me of love
My house feels whole again, like a piece of heaven
brought into my world where I am reunited with my sister
