Walls of Nothing
I see them every day.
These face's blurred and out of shape.
These people all strapped up and out of place.
Shoving pills down their throats making them more insane.
Why am I in this place?
These walls,
I can only see.
What is it like to be free?
They took my photographs, my pictures of us,
And throw them away like yesterday's newspaper blankets.
I scream your name.
Why can't I see your face?
Just one picture that's all I ask.
Just one picture to hang on to from our last goodbyes.
Just one picture of the one I lost.
They come barging in like no one is there.
Like only the white walls can tell that they are here.
They scream,
They yell.
Now they see the words.
Scarlet beads running down my arm.
Words written on a wall.
My last words to you all.
Why can't you see me through these walls.
Through the Walls of Nothing.
It's nothing at all.
