"Nothing to say"

A lie that I speak
So many things to say
To write

But i will not speak

My voice would quiver
A tear would escape

No I will not speak

The nightmares that fill my mind
The horrors that I face every day

I can not speak

My mouth opens
But no words describe me
Or my life
Or my thoughts

I won't speak

Why am i silent,
When I am happy
Or sad?

Why can't I speak?

So I shall write them
And you can't hear my voice
But you can hear me

Because in your mind
Or through YOUR voice
I
Can
Speak.

Even when we can't speak, our words that we write can help describe what our voices refuse to say. When you write the truth is spoken and you are alive.
