closing the doors on your soul
broken along with the innocence
i pray that the next person is better
smiles and laughs slowly fading in my mind
just like my trust for you

tears fall and break in two
just like my heart when you left me
do you feel my pain?
did it make you feel better?
i hope your heart breaks
years of emptiness and dark days
money spent and burned in my face
torn shirts and old notes
is this what you wanted?
how long will you watch?
i hope your love will leave you broken
through hell and back
i know you left for him
but, all i know is my love for you
my mixed forgiveness that you left me
it shows in my soul
that I've grown stronger
to start forgiving you
