Nothing Much
I step into the house

I ask him what he did today.
Mom asked me what I did today.
 What should i say?

He has a look of deep thought,

     Is he hiding something?
 Should I tell her,
 About all of my
 Bad grades?
 If I didn’t, would
 She see through
 My charades.

     He hasn’t answered yet,

     something must

     be wrong.
 Should I tell her,
 About all
 The pain?
 The bullying?
 The teasing?
 Would it be in vain?

     I’m about to ask something.
 I’ve decided what to say:

Right as I open my mouth,

     Hoping he won’t say:

    “Nothing Much”
