How I Got My Name
This is a little story,
It’s how I got my name
It’s never really told,
Because it gets old.
Your still a fuzzy imagine in my mind,
I always think about you from sunrise to sunset,
I wish you could stay but it can’t be that way.
I was named after
A man… a wise man he was.
He died very young
But he lived his life strong,
Telling people don’t worry about me,
I think it’s my time, all always be with you,
Right by your side.
He was my mother’s father,
That’s what he was.
Carl, Carl was his name
Now rest in heaven with the angels singing high,
Don’t worry about your kids,
They’re all doing mighty fine,
But you’re always on our minds.
Carl was a kind man.
You gave to charity even when you were,
Weak and on your last legs.
Lending a helping hand,
Telling everyone don’t worry,
About me when I go to rest with the angels.
He died very young
But he lived his life strong.
That’s how I got my name
After this wonderful, caring man.
