When was the last time
you looked me in the eye
and asked me how I was?
When was the last time
you listened to me
and took me seriously?
When was the last time
you let me talk
without interrupting me?
When was the last time
you looked at me
without pointing out my flaws?
When was the last time
you heard me crying
and actually cared?
When was the last time
you told me you loved me?
There was no last time
I can tell you now
this is the last time
that I just sit here and take it.
