Picking Flowers
Flowers come good and bad.
The flower could be the wrong color,
Or not the right size.
Some words fit, some words don’t.
The word may be too dark,
Or not have the right sound.
The words could get stuck in your throat,
like a hundred marbles.
But when you find the perfect flower,
Your bouquet is quite perfect.
The smell is delightful,
as well as the sight of all the colors.
When you find the right words,
your writing will flow off your tongue.
It’s like singing, but only better.
The flowers will be able to fill any vase.
They will be able to light up any room.
Your words will come together,
and create a beautiful song.
Or they may join,
and create an award winning novel.
You’re lucky to find the perfect flowers.
Inspiration just comes to you.
You can never plan on finding the perfect flower
It takes patience and dedication.
Finding the best words can take days,
Even weeks.
But when you finally find the proper ones,
everything else will just fall into place.
After putting all the blooms together,
You can look and admire your hardwork.
Folks will praise you for your choice in flowers,
And shall converse with one another abut your talents.
After you are done writing,
and your story expresses you,
you can put it away only to admire for another day.
Or you can lend it to a mate for them to enjoy as well
