Do you see that girl?

Yes that one there.

Do you know what she cuts?

It's not her hair.



See that boy over there?

The one on the deck.

Did you know he jumped off it?

He broke his neck.



You see that girl walking?

She was abused.

Do you know what she did?

She went and she used.



You see that boy sitting?

He looks at the trees.

Always wondering why

He was bullied.



Do you see all of those kids?

The ones that you judged?

You assumed you knew them.

You were wrong.



Do you know the words?

Yes the ones you said.

Got into their minds.

Never leaving their heads.



Do you know what you did?

You gave them the knife.

You know what you implied?

End your life.

The author's comments:
When you look in the news, you constantly see kids committing suicide because of hurtful things said to them. This poem helps emphasize the impact of your words.
