Waiting She Is

The cage rattles
But she make no sounds
I fear, she's making plans
What plans? I'm not sure
I must keep my guard or she will get me
"Come at me" I say
She smiles
not the happy smile
But that evil one
I step back, again in fear
I'm not brave enough
"Just you wait" I think "I'll beat you"
Again I walk back
I know what she wants
I shudder
"How will I face her?"
Tears run down my face, but "just be happy
She's not after you today" I say
