Not to be Ridiculed
Ridiculed like a child,
A flower bending to the wind
Is all that ever comes
From fighting with you
It’s a lose situation
You tangle me in sticky arguments
You’re the spider to my web
Ready to suck my side dead
I try to wiggle my way out,
But just tighten the noose around my neck
At one point I stopped struggling
Let you drain my opinions out
But now I am fighting back
I don’t care what you have to cry about
I am no longer a child,
There’s no reason to sit and be scolded
I am not a piece of clay
For you to mold
I have become my own person,
I have gotten this far without your help
So don’t you try to teach me how I should be
If you haven’t noticed
I follow no rules,
Not society’s, or parents
I have my own experience
That have led me this far
I won’t be torn apart
By arrows formed from words
Or your double edged swords.
