Primary Colors
If I was asked to paint a picture of you
I might use blue, the cliché
“sea after a storm”
but not nearly as f---ing deep
and yellow
which is usually associated with
bright happy things
but I think
it’s the decision a dandelion makes
after night falls
when its white canvas
the teacher tells us represents innocence
is pissed on by a drunk
Red
Is the only color the poets got right
And that’s ok
I won’t use it anyway
