Addiction
You crawl under my skin and make me crave you
like the burn of liquid fire traveling down my throat
or the sensation of black smoke filling my lungs.
I need you,
because you fight the voices in my head,
leaving them bruised and bloody and
with a smile upon my face.
You start an eternal fire in my half dead heart,
bringing it back to life,
burning down all of the walls I created.
You paint a rainbow of watercolours in my cold, dark soul.
You made me fall in love,
something I swore I'd never do.
You got me addicted;
and baby, I'm addicted to you.
