Island

A small patch of sand.
White sand.
Two or three palms,
being totally
engulfed
by the lapping of the sea.
The water hisses and slaps the sand
making a natural
peacefulness.
Exotic flowers bloom.
Hot pink, violet, turquoise.
Rainbow colored fish swim
underneath the clear aqua water.
Dolphins sound near the shore,
yapping and yipping.
The setting sun glitters gold
across the clear shining waters of the sea.
Footprints are imprinted onto the land.
For this island is made for two souls.
Yours,
and mine.
