I wake up, still dreaming
Lost in a shallow sleep
Thought still teeming,
Screaming
Still stuck counting sheep
I'm caught in a place between
Light and day
People pass but I'm still unseen
Ever since I begged you to stay
To say
I love you
Why you left me so young
Left to fend off the world by myself
No one else
Lingering among the lost
I'll never understand
Did a nightmare stop your heart?
Or was it something else
Something dark
Until you were lost just like me
Gone still in your sleep
