For You
Eyes bulging out, lips turning blue
Hands shaking badly, losing their hue
The rope around my neck, hugging it tight
I simply let it; I don’t put up a fight
My eyes start watering, heart beat slows down
As I lose my life and fall to the ground
My blood stops flowing, I do not move
There lies the body I gave up for you
You dragged me through dirt, I was treated like hell
But there I was, to pick you up when you fell
What I decided saved your life
He held me by the point of a knife
Told me if I did it you wouldn’t be harmed
I dare not argue with a man that was armed
There was the rope, grasping my throat
Then I became your antidote
