Perfume
Late one night I woke up to the
Scent of an ocean breeze
Like a hummingbird towards sugared water
I was drawled to the smell
Like a zombie-or maybe a vampire- I shot
Out of bed and exited my room
At the top of the stairs
The ocean breeze smelled so refreshing
And somewhere with it I smelled after-shave
I quietly crept down the stairs nearly
Floating, with the incredible scent
It smelled so close I could taste it
On my tongue and wear it
On my body
The sudden perfume was indeed
Haunting me to come in it's arms
I obeyed and like a mad man
Searched for the perfume
"Oh where is it coming from?" I groaned
The scent was stronger now
So I knew I was close
And then in the rose garden
Me and you met
Where we first met each other
But that was before you died
