Icy Pink

put on a smile and a hat
that shield your face
from the sun
that melts your
strawberry ice cream
drips, drips, drips
down your chin,
between your toes.
icy pink on the backs
of sand crabs nestled under
wet sand. white crashes.
foam spurs and takes the pink
between your toes,
the sand crabs under wet sand,
and the sun
the sun that melted
your icy pink
to mud, that melted
your smile
and the wind that blew
off your hat.
into the crashes and
under the foam.
