I always wonder
Why people fight
Over the concept that
Meat Is Murder,
Whilst people all
Around the world die
Everyday, and we never
Seem to notice
Unless they are
People from
Our own country.

The author's comments:
I thought about this very briefly before I wrote it down. What makes the death of a Iraq soldier different from that of an American? They both are doing the same thing: trying to follow orders on which they were raised to believe in, and trying to dodge the hits that are coming their way. They are someone's brother, someone's father, someone's lover and someone's fighter, but on the battlefield they are nothing to us. Are we so ignorant that we chose to be so blind?
