Bagpipes

Taking a gulp of air the bag fills.
The low guttural sound makes pigeons fly away.
Soon, the whole place has irrupted with sound.
A rhythmic tune curls over head,
Bounces off of buildings,
Runs through the streets.
The song screaming at the top of it’s lungs,
Loud enough to wake the dead!
Drown out a banshee!
Beautiful music.
It entices people to come out of doors.
Yawning from sleep.
Their eyes wide.
Behold the majesty that is the bagpipes.
