Her Final Plea: Her Cry For Help
They realize not, how much their words do sting
She thinks not highly of herself, and when
They reprimand the others with harsh terms
It hurts her, causes her to doubt herself
Some say she that there is naught she doth not know,
And she never believes them
She looks upon herself as a failure
When she meets not, her own high standards
She passes with “a lot of color”
As a TV character did say
But she has no faith
In her own abilities, her own intelligence
When she falters in the slightest way
She won’t let you see her disappointment in herself
No one shall hear her voice, telling herself she doesn’t deserve
What she has through much effort earned
Somehow she can say it to the screen, to the page, to the keys, to the pencil
And she hopes that if you get this call for help,
You shall do what you think is right
Perhaps you know her?
You probably can’t tell, as she hides her despair and depression
Behind a veil of cleverness and sarcasm
It’s still there, threatening to overwhelm her
So she writes this call for help, hoping
You can hear her voice, stripped bare of sarcasm and wit
Imploring you not to punish her with your words
