Only once
Have I felt
Warm compassion
And love illuminate
Off another human being
Whom I loved more than the
Stars sparkling in the night sky

Only twice
Have I felt
Unbearable pain
And tears cascading
Down my flushed cheeks
Due to a recently broken heart
And a very tormented, lonely soul

One day
I'll receive
Never ending love
And sweetened kisses
From a human being who
Doesn't mind giving me love
While providing me strength to live
