Hello, Sunshine

It’s the king of all seasons
It’s the heyday of sunshine
It’s definitely the reason
that kids are so out of line
Summer is the season we don’t want to end
the season of hues of blue and green
the clear sky of blue we try to ascend
yet slowly and steadily autumn creeps in, unseen
The trees turn to gold and heat turns cold
and next thing you know you’re back in school
waiting for the year to unfold...
The 180 days of nil seem drool.
