Poetry
I don’t know why I do
 I just write
 To get my feelings out
 To share my secrets
 To show myself

It’s the only way I know how
 To share my voice
 I express myself through poetry
 Because there’s nothing else
 But my words

 It’s a hidden addiction
One I won’t get help for
 All I do is write
 When I’m not
 It’s all I think about

I have an entire book filled
 With my words, my poetry
 It will continue to grow
 And grow
 Becoming bigger and bigger

I breathe life through my words
To try to get people to listen
To try to get it right
To try to get others to understand
 But they’re stuck

 All those unspoken words
 All those bottled up feelings
 Are stuck in my head
The only way to get out?
 Through poetry
