The Path of Shattered Hope
When the cold creeps into your bones,
And you see the skulls among the stones,
Your courage begins to bleed away,
And your body beings to sway.
Now you know your energy is running low,
And your blood is turning to an icy flow.
Because the swirling winds in this crevice,
And the icy demons that try to subdue us.
You begin to see the other bones around you,
From those who gave up the truth.
Giving in to the deceit,
That in those dead ends you'll be hidden from the sleet,
That there will be warmth in those caves.
But now death holds them as slaves.
Your eyes try to close,
As your breathing slows.
Then the Ice grabs your heart.
And the last of your truth shatters apart.
