He Ran
He ran,
Not knowing where to go,
Lost and wandering,
No direction in sight.
No destination,
Or path as well,
Just his feet and the ground ahead,
His only trail his own decisions,
His own trek,
His own life.
For he was free,
Free to run aimlessly around,
No bounds holding him to the earth,
No ties to this world,
Except his feet thundering against the ground,
And his own self within,
Guiding him by himself,
For himself,
For he was his own.
