Flowers

I dressed in flowers painting my face a blue hue
I cried digging prodigious holes in my bedroom
As my jonquils bloomed in a pot in the closet
I my foal attempts to ingratiate those few
I watched my self respect slip away
I comply my morals
In hopes of some auspicious results
But all my efforts will have been in vain
I feigned joy
Keeping my anguish drawn tight
The pungent odor slipping beneath my sleeve
