You Hear
You hear a drum beat,
You hear the strumming of a guitar,
And then another guitar,
Then somebody starts tappin' their foot to the beat,
The next thing you hear,
Somebody starts humming a tune,
And the quiet,
Turns into a loud noise that nobody expected,
It becomes a party,
People are singin' all different things,
But,
In the end they're all singin' the same,
They end up singin' a low,
Deep tune,
Everybody's tappin' their foot to the beat,
The only thing other than the music that they hear,
Is the crickets singin',
The wolves howlin',
As if singin' along,
At the nights end,
That's all you hear.
