Running Away
Meet me at the bottom of the stairs
I’ll finish packing what’s important
Don’t think about anything
We’ll worry about that later
Focus on our escape
Don’t fret about the past or the future
Listen to my voice right now
That’s all that matters
When the world gets to be too much
This is what we’ll do
We can run away together
Not paying attention to the spectators
Eventually we will come home
Running away doesn’t solve anything
Sometimes we just need to escape
It helps us to better see the situation
We can drive away to our special place
Lay in the field of flowers underneath the warmth of the sun
We have to leave now or we’ll miss the opportunity
So just meet me at the bottom of the stairs
