Lost Hope
Hope, it seems lost and can’t be found.
Fear lurks in the shadows all around.
Hope, it is captive without a sound.
Courage seems not to be found.
Dread has set in a dark cast.
Whomever was first shall now be last.
Bravery has since gone past.
But hope- hope has left to fast.
Now, with people in the dark dying,
while others are stealing and lying,
it seems hope has left us flying-
it watches as children are crying.
As more and more people leave this place,
it seems that we lose more and more grace.
It seems that the human race is slowly losing its case,
as it loses yet another face.
The pain of the enemy has now set in.
It seems impossible for us to ever win.
We are now fighting our own kin.
This enemy seems more than sin.
We must learn how to fight.
We must work day and night.
Let the truth be of a light.
We must use what’s right.
As we continue this war,
we musn’t forget what we are fighting for.
If the cause is unjust- what is it worth all the blood and gore?
It is like giving to the rich while taking from the poor.
As we continue on,
it seems that our fate has been drawn.
Hope- it seems gone.
But it has been found.
