Maybe I'm my own oil in my water
the same oil that keeps me from flying
keeps the fish from swimming

the oil that takes years to clean
the smoke in the air
that chocks out the fresh mountain air
and shrivels the purple petals on the wild flowers

Maybe I'm my own poison
the poison that stops your life cold
hard and dead
the poisen to myself
I am the oil to my waters
