Sometimes I look into the abyss
the monster that is the future
I don’t know how I’ll make it to the next storm
but time knows no tears
it stops for no one
no matter the grief, no matter the joy
every moment is no more and no less
than the time before its over
there’s no remote in my hands
only a white flag
