Right Now
broken glass and shards of my clear heart
ripped up paper and torn pieces of my soul
a black sky filled with stars
looking down at the delicate flowers we are
the black ink dot on a page of blank white
the lone wolf howling at the brilliant moon
a last and sorrowful survivor of the fight
humans are the loneliest animals of the night
a raindrop in the waves of a lake
a grain of sand upon the surface of the Earth
all of New York city is awake
anymore individuals and society might break
memories captured in the only past I know
prophesies trapped out in the thunder and rain
I wont let my indecisive past show
and my bright future will never glow
all that matters is how it feels inside of you
all that matters is the moment right now
the present is too precious to loose
never mind what we are, what we've done and what we will do
