I’ll wait for you
In the fields of gold
Where the morning dew rests
And the trees grow endlessly
Where the frosty mountains are just in sight
Where the sun don’t shine
I’ll give you a penny for every thought of mine
That you listen to with your heart
No matter how long
So I’ll wait
Until you’re good and ready
Only then do I want you to come
So no invisible barriers hold us back
So we’ll be free at last
And when you meet me I’ll kiss your bruises
And in our joy we’ll cry
We’ll walk that road together
To see what’s on the other side.
