A Winter Night
November 16, 2013
On that night we shared the best cup of hot cocoa.
The bittersweet taste of warm chocolate sweeping across our tongues,
And the gooey marshmallows sliding down our throats, the beverage
Kept our hands warm in the midst of that night.
We snuggled up in a quilt and gazed out the window and watched
The snow fall from the grey sky. We admired the quietness of the neighborhood,
The moon’s glow in the center of the starlit sky, and the swaying dances
Of the trees.
