Insane In The Brain

I tried to avoid pain
By putting a bottle to my lips
And breathing smoke into my lungs
But all I left myself with
Is a few bad habits
And a couple broken heartstrings
So I started to tear my skin open
To feel something other than pain
But it was just a better kind of pain
And I started to give myself away to anyone who wanted
Just to feel loved by someone
Even if it wasn't you
I signed my soul over to Satan just to believe in something
Because you broke my heart
And crushed my dreams
