She lay curled up upon her bed
She cried her heart out as she wished she were dead
Her poor heart ached with so much sorrow
She couldn’t even bare the thought of tomorrow
She lay curled up, a blanket upon her
All that was left, a single dollar
The money was gone, her family broke
These were the last words the little girl spoke
