One Last Breath
I’m breathing,
But no air is coming in,
My body is like a motionless figure,
I am a feather being carried by dangerous tides.
Am I breathing?
I can taste a salty liquid in my mouth,
It’s travelling through my body,
I feel it in my lungs.
I’m going deeper and deeper,
Through the misty world down below,
This is way over due,
I have out welcomed my stay,
I've grown to be old and tired.
I am meeting my expiration date,
I’m no longer breathing.
