A Darker Hour
I look in the mirror,
And can’t believe what I see.
Who is that girl,
Staring back at me?
Her eyes are threaded with crimson,
Her hands, they shake and they bounce.
Her hair is thin and matted,
Her mouth is dirty and diseased.
Her eyes look, but do not see,
Who is this girl?
It can’t be me.
