I sit here watching out the window,
I sit here waiting for you to come home.
I sit here wanting your smiling face.
I sit here dreaming of running my fingers through your hair.
I watch each snowflake fall on the window.
I watch them, each different.
I watch people walk by, slowly.
I watch trees blow.
I watch a dog on a leash.
Why did you go into the army?
Why did you put on the suit?
Why did you leave us?
Did you want us to be miserable?!
I love you.
But you left us.
There was a no matter what
