Wallflower
Nothing but a wallflower,
Pale white skin draped in a bleach blue dress,
Nothing extraordinary about her,
Though one thing that stood out was her ruby red lips.
She was standing in the corner of the room,
Not a sole surrounded her,
You with your enchanting looks,
Was taken by the sight of her.
Over loaded with ego you took her hand to dance,
You pulled her a cross the room whispering nothings in her ear,
She turned away and headed to the balcony where she planed to stay,
You stood unsure just what to do for never happened to you.
Her elegant frame was illuminated by the night sky,
She sat down on the cold stone bench and refused to let herself cry,
You followed her absentmindedly hope in disguise,
Even the stars were dulled by the twinkle in your eye,
You sat beside the girl,
You begged her to stay,
She left you without a single word,
There was simply nothing more to say,
Your used to getting just what you please,
That was before a wallflower brought you to your knees,
Now you know the wrenching truth,
The world doesn't revolve around you.
It's a shocking reality,
One people like you don't come by easily,
Though now at least now you can see,
You were meant to be.
Alas you feel doomed to a lonely life of tragedy,
You see things could have ended so differently,
If you had only said please,
For the first time you can now see.
She will be happy for all of eternity,
For she is and will forever be,
But a girl living in simplicity,
Nothing but a wallflower.
