Watercolors
you're no longer a painting
 you're more like an aching
 rusty knife jabbed into
 my already diseased soul

 you've lost all your color,
 and I plan no longer
 to chase after your flimsy
 black and white life

 you used to shine
 with such intricate designs;
 that incredible luster
 is now a drab pile of dust

 and I swear I will never
 admire you forever
 since your apparent beauty
 can be washed off with water
