I Don't Care

There are always times
There are always people
Who don’t appreciate
Nor understand

A facade a protective wall
A brave poker face
No one knows
No one cares

Passers by they tell you hi
But are they really expecting an answer
Those passers by I tell them fine
Then life goes on

They don’t know
They don’t care

How easy it is to feel alone in this world
Like a deer in a lions den
If you don’t show it they will never know it
But they pretend to care and thats the end

So many things
So many feelings emotions
Are hidden high up in this tower
Guarded by the actor

By the realm of authenticity
And that wall that separates us from the real world
And it’s phony twin has been up for so long
That is has become difficult to tell one from two

And soon all of our emotions though very different confuse us
We start saying “do I care, I think I don’t”
“Can I handle this alone? I think I can
But unaware that the world around us crumbles and crumbles

Are we able aren’t we able?
Do we care don’t we care?

One
Two
Three
Four

All sanity is out the door
A crazy world
A crazy person

Five
Six
Seven
Eight

It’s all to late
cause now who really knows
the truth

Who really knows ignorance from reality
Who really knows what they want
Who really knows what they do or not.

I hope people will ask themselves the question of how real they can be with others and themselves.
